Jane touched on the board’s decision to remove Southern Poverty Law Center standards from Black History and Literature courses.
Sam Young shared his motivation for running for the school board, emphasizing his desire to ensure his four children and others in the district receive a great education. He also expressed concerns about what he sees as social pressures, particularly regarding LGBTQ+ identity, and highlighted his hope to be part of a more conservative majority on the board to address these issues.
